They have suffered a great deal. But their joy was more than full. Even though they were very poor, they gave very freely. I give witness that they gave as much as they could. In fact, they gave even more than they could. Completely on their
own, they begged us for the chance to share in serving God’s people
that way.

2 Corinthians 8:2-4

The Vision for our Future
First Presbyterian Church seeks to own the reputation as the church where . . . they love each other so very much! This reputation will only be generated if we speak the Gospel with words and do the Gospel with deeds. Thus, First Presbyterian Church wants to:

  • Grow in ministry by calling others to faith in Christ

  • Serve others by expanding Christian ministries offered by the church

  • Continue to focus on the personal needs of each age segment of our county’s population

In order to accomplish these goals, First Presbyterian Church will need to protect and develop its diminishing infra-structure and, through development, expand the ministries that it can provide. It is clear that to grow significantly enough to support the ministries we are called to fulfill, we will need a more attractive, inviting and functional facility. First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach is poised to experience tremendous growth in the next five years. Our congregational spirit and unity is strong. The time to act is now!
